ABOUT DØSSINGHUS
In Døssinghus, every apartment is different. You can choose between 3 apartments, all decorated with inspiration from the local history. All our apartments are non-smoking and have a private bathroom with shower and a kitchen with stove and refrigerator. In the summer, there is a garden bench and barbecue in the courtyard at your disposal. We welcome business tourists including travel fitters, seasonal workers, craftsmen, hikers, cyclists and guests for events in central Jutland or if you need accommodation for a shorter or longer period.
ABOUT THE APARTMENTS
We have 3 cozy apartments named after the three kings who, in 1157, fought for the exclusive right to rule Denmark.
- Svend's apartment: 1 large double bed and 1 sofa bed
- Knud's apartment: 1 small double bed and 1 sofa bed.
- Valdemars lejlighed: 1 stor dobbeltseng
The apartments har alle separat soveværelse med plads til 2 voksne og i to af lejlighederne er der også en sovesofa med plads til 1-2 personer.
ATTENTION! Right now our courtyard is under renovation. But later in the summer there will be garden furniture and barbecue at your disposal.

Døssinghus was built in 1861. The house is located in the center of the village of Knudstrup and is a piece of local history. Many of the neighboring properties were subdivided from this very farm.
Knudstrup is a small village just 1 km from the hiking route "hærvejen". It is 2.2 km to Thorning with the possibility of shopping.

○ Spar, Blichersvej 13, Thorning (2,2 km), hvor man gøre sine indkøb hos den lokale købemand.
Pizza: Thorning Pizzaria Ekspressen, Møllevej 10, Thorning (2.2 km). They deliver.

Knudstrup is located 22 km from Viborg and Silkeborg. The most beautiful way to Knudstrup when hiking from the south is through Kompedal Plantation. Here you can walk on the heath and feel the wings of history. It was here that the battle for royal power between Sven Grathe and Valdemar the Great was fought. From the lookout tower you can experience the view of Grathe Hede and Kompedalen. Then continue north past the protected ancient monument, Kong Knaps Dige, and the stone coffin where eels used to be caught. Then you cross Ravnholtvej and continue walking until you turn east along Sangildvej and further into Knudstrup. Sangildvej leads you straight to Døssinghus.
